Why Do The THCV Gummies Taste So Strong?
Why do the Smokiez x VIVA THCV gummies have such a strong flavor?
Despite the tasty natural cherry flavor our gummies are flavored with, you may have noticed a natural-cannabis flavor as well. Why is that?
There is a very simple answer for this question: they are made with live resin.
Live Resin is a very pure form of cannabis concentrate. It is made by flash freezing the plant whole, then processing it with a clean solvent, (but you can learn more about the different types of cannabis concentrate here).
This method allows all of the other cannabinoids and terpenes in the plant to remain intact, making it one of the purest and truest-to-form ways of making cannabis concentrate.
The terpenes are what gives the cannabis plant (and nearly every other plant on earth) their flavor and smell profiles. Because they are left in the resin, anything the resin is put into will retain a bit of the cannabis flavor.
We personally don’t think the earthy flavor is a bad taste, but if you’re not a cannabis-flavor-enjoyer, consider this: many edibles containing less-pure concentrate use harmful chemicals to burn off those unwanted terpenes.
