THCV is not diet weed.
The long-known fact about THCV is that it doesn’t give users the age-old “munchies” most people associate with cannabis. Many studies have centered THCV for this reason, and because of its ability to regulate blood sugar for people with diabetes.
But THCV has many other properties that make it a great choice for a fun enhancer, and we’re here to spread the word.
Number one: Energy boost
THCV gives a fun little boost to our energy metabolisms, making them run a little faster, which gives us the urge to get up off the couch and get moving!
Number two: Mood and Focus Boost
THCV doesn’t bind to the same receptors in our Endocannabinoid System (which is connected to our nervous system and many others) that THC does, so we don’t feel the brain fog, paranoia and anxiety that can often happen with THC alone.
Plants high in THCV are also high in the mood-and-focus-boosting terpenes like Limonene, Pinene and Terpinolene that all promote a euphoric body sensation along with energy and focus.
Number three: No Extra Anxiety
THCV actually neutralizes or prevents (scientists aren’t entirely sure yet) THC from binding to those receptors in our ECS that turn on anxiety and paranoia, so when you have a 1:1 THCV:THC product, you feel all of the good effects and none of the bad.
And finally, number four: the Infamous Appetite Management
THCV doesn’t give you the munchies. This is because it doesn’t bind to the receptors that turn on our hunger metabolism.
And in products with both THC and THCV, THCV blocks or neutralizes THC from binding to those receptors, so you get all of the fun feelings without the desire to snack every five minutes.
THCV has many fun properties, but the most widely known one is still the “no-munchies” effect. We hope to spread the word about all the other miraculous effects this wondrous cannabinoid possesses, and we hope you will too.
