How to Get Gym Motivated

As the new year gets underway, it feels like absolutely everyone is declaring their fitness goals and hitting the gym. But sometimes it can be a little tough to find that spark that gets you going. If you need help feeling motivated, you’re not alone.

Here are some tips and tricks we like to use to give ourselves a jumpstart:

Remember you get to, not have to.

Not everyone has the privilege of movement, and it’s important to remember this and be thankful for everything our bodies can do for us. Having a positive and grateful mindset is crucial for many things in life, including working out. Next time you feel the urge to grumble about going to the gym, remind yourself that you don’t have to work out, you get to work out.

Remember the benefits.

Sometimes when we really don’t feel like it, it’s easy to forget all the good working out can do for us. Along with strengthening muscles and building bone density, working out can help reduce stress and lower blood pressure. It can also strengthen the most important muscle of all: our brain. Studies have shown that working out can decrease our chances of many common illnesses and disorders, like Alzheimers and dementia, certain types of cancer, heart disease, and diabetes.

Remembering all of these life-improving health benefits can be a pretty good motivator!

Watch a video to get some inspiration.

If you’re unable to think up a good routine to get started, watch a video! There are plenty of workout videos available online or at your local library to help give you an idea of how to get moving. There are even virtual classes you can take if you would rather have someone to guide you. We live in the age of fitness influencers, and we should take advantage of it!

And if all that doesn’t work, take a THCV gummy!

A little THCV is a great way to get your body moving. THCV provides users with a natural focus and energy boost paired with some fun feelings of euphoria. It also doesn’t give users the paranoia and anxiety most sativas give. And it won’t give you the dehydration (and anxiety) caffeine always does. So if you need a fun boost to get you off the couch, try a little THCV.
